  2. Flexibility: The e-Visa allows travelers to enter India through 29 designated airports and 5 designated seaports.

  4. Validity and Duration: The e-Visa is typically valid for 60 days from the date of arrival, and it allows for double entry.

Processing Time:

Approved e-Visa:

Applying for Visa-on-Arrival:

Japanese, South Korean, and UAE nationals can follow a simple procedure to apply for the Visa-on-Arrival:

  1. Download the application form (Annexure I) from the official website or obtain a physical form from the airlines onboard the flight.

  2. Fill out the application form in advance or complete it upon arrival at the visa counter.

  3. Carry the duly filled VoA Application Form along with the completed disembarkation card.

  4. Pay the Visa-on-Arrival fee of Rs. 2,000/- or equivalent in foreign currency per passenger (including children) before the visa is granted.

Important Notes to Consider for Visa-on-Arrival:

  1. Visa-on-Arrival is available exclusively to citizens of Japan, South Korea, and UAE nationals

  2. Nationals of UAE who are visiting India for the first time are advised to apply for an e-Visa or regular/paper visa, as the Visa-on-Arrival scheme is applicable only to those who have previously obtained an e-Visa or regular/paper visa for India.

  3. Pakistan-origin UAE,  Japan, and South Korea nationals are not eligible for the Visa-on-Arrival scheme.

  4. Visa-on-Arrival is not extendable or convertible, and holders of Diplomatic/Official passports are not eligible for this facility.

  5. The application form (Annexure I) should be presented to the Visa Officer at the visa counter or filled out on arrival.

Visa-on-Arrival Validity and Entry Points:

  • The Visa-on-Arrival is valid for entry and stays in India within the specified period. The Immigration officer may grant a double entry Visa-on-Arrival, allowing a stay of up to 60 days.
